Gratitude is one of the simplest and yet most powerful things you can do to maintain your relationships. When you tell someone how they made a difference in your life, they would develop a strong bond with you, and the circle of gratitude and kindness would grow stronger.
Say “thank you” for the small tokens of support, guidance, kindness, or just being present for you — and make sure to take the time to express gratitude.
Thanking the other person shows that you are not taking them and their work for granted and it encourages them to keep on doing good for you in the relationship.
Gratitude can be expressed in several ways: wording, writing with black pen on paper, and act, e.g. when someone surprises them with food he/she likes. Such moments of recognition may be indelible, but will surely enhance your bond.
Tip: Practice gratitude around your relationships by thinking specifically about what you like about the other person. Approaching with this mindset allows for interactions that are more meaningful and cohesive.
